During the lifecycle of a user account you may have a requirement to place an account in a 'hold' status for any number of reasons e.g. legal investigation. To allow you to perform this action within CloudManager there is a option available within a user profile to perform this action;
- Navigate to the user profile you with to place on hold
- Expand the context menu top right and select 'Hold User' from menu as shown
Once this setting has been enabled for user account there is no way to deprovision or delete this account. Also, the 'hold' status does not affect the usage of an account from the user perspective. If you wish to prevent this account from being used you must also leverage the suspend settings.
To remove from 'hold' status from an account once set;
- Navigate to the user profile you wish to remove the hold from. You are able to search for users on hold with the search query:
- Expand the context menu top right and select 'Release User' from the menu as shown
